EZ Freelance (Concept App)

As a freelancer, some of the toughest challenges you face, are constantly having to find new and interesting projects, making sure you get paid on time and in full, and finding ways to collaborate with other freelancers. EZFreelance is a concept that I cam up with, as a solution to these common problems that freelancers face on a daily basis.

The first thing you see on the website is a navigation bar, heading and subheading, a ‘sign up’ and ‘learn more’ button, and an image of a screenshot of the EZFreelance app open in a browser.

This is a one page site, so the menu items in the nav bar simply link to different sections on the page. If you want to skip down to pricing options, you can do that by simply clicking that link, instead of scrolling all the way down. For potential customers who may want to see pricing options before looking at anything else, this feature comes in handy. The headings and subheadings main purpose is to catch the attention of potential customers. Every freelancer is always looking for ways to grow, and the first thing you see when you open the site is “Grow Your Freelance Business With EZFreelance”. The subheading gives a quantitative value for how much you can grow, by saying it’s 10x easier to find work etc. The sign up button is a simple call-to-action for people that may already be convinced that they want to purchase the app. It makes it easier for them to do so, instead of looking all over the page for an option to purchase, they just click the first button at the top of the page. The learn more button is is for people who may need some convincing as to why they should purchase this app. It just scrolls down to the ‘features’ section. It’s easier to let the site take you to where you want to with with a click of a button, instead of scrolling and looking for yourself. The image on the right side is to showcase the app in action. Since this is just a concept app that has not been developed, I just used a screenshot of my personal website. I got a transparent browser background image, a screenshot of my site, and the address bar text.

I then put them together to add to the site.

Underneath that, you’ll see the ‘In The Press’ section. This section is important because it shows your potential customers that this is a legitimate product/service that is endorsed by major news outlets. This could be the deciding factor for some people.

Below that you’ll see the features section. As a potential customer, you want to see what the product you are looking to purchase, has to offer. The next logical section to include would be pricing options. After seeing what features are being offered, if the potential customer continues to scroll, chances are that they are intrigued.

If the visitor is still unsure, they can scroll just a little more, to the testimonials section. There, they will see what real customers had to say about the product. Including a picture, name, and occupation helps the potential customer trust the testimonial more.

That is the breakdown of the design process for this concept site. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out. You can contact me on the ‘Get In Touch’ page, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible
