Home Renovation Contractors (Concept Site)

When someone calls a home renovation contractor, it's usually because they want to update the design, or look, of their home. They want someone that has an eye for design, and a strong attention to detail. What better way to show these skills, than with a well designed, mobile friendly website. A website is typically the first point of reference someone has when looking for your product or services. For that reason, it is extremely important to make sure that your site makes a lasting impression on potential customers. I made a mock website, specifically with home renovation contractors in mind. I'll go through each section and explain it's purpose, and my rationale behind it.

We'll start off with the navbar. I put that at the top to make it convenient for visitors to navigate through the site. The home hero section is probably going to be the first thing people see, so I made sure to say exactly what this site is for. As soon as the page loads up, they'll know exactly what you do. There is a button under the main heading, titled 'free consultation'. This button is called a 'call-to-action' button. There might be people that already know what you're about, so there is no need for them to continue scrolling. Instead they want to get one-step closer to purchasing. As a business and website owner, that should always be the goal. So you'll want to make it as easy as possible for them to get one-step closer to purchasing. Having that button right at the top is as convenient as it gets, as opposed to having one all the way at the bottom where the user has to spend time looking for it.

Next, you'll see a section titled 'Why Us'. This is your chance to show off a bit and explain, very briefly, why you're the right people/person for the job. This probable won't make ot break their decision, but they'll keep it in the back of their minds as they continue scrolling.

The services section, which you'll find right after 'Why Us', is pretty self-explamatory, but very important. Without this section, your potential customer may be unsure about you being qualified for the job that they need done. On the homepage, there's no need to get into details, but you can explain your services in more detail by linking to another page.

The next big section you'll see is the 'Projects' section. This is another section that you can use to show off your skills. Include any previous projects you may have done. This will heavily sway your potential customer on whether they want to contact you or not. Include links to other pages where you can discuss the project in more detail.

The 'Media' section is only useful if you've been featured in the media. This will help legitimize your business to potential customers.

The testimonial section is usually the section that gets potential customers, that may have been on the fence earlier, to actually purchase your services. They get to hear from real life people who have had experience with working with you.

And lastly, you have the 'Get In Touch' sectionm where people can contact you after seeing everything you have to offer.
