Ronnie, with his label Unknown Suspect Records, is on a mission. That mission is to become a flagship artist without having to take part in the politics that takes place in the music business. Ronnie, who sometimes goes by his stage name Panic8577, is a recording artist and producer. He has built an impressive fanbase with the help of social media. However he felt that he needed another tool to market himself and his music, while also providing his fans with a one-stop shop for his music as opposed to providing them with multiple links to follow, where they might get lost. The goal of this project was to increase awareness for Ronnie through SEO, and make it easier for fans to access his work.

Context and Challenge

Project Background: Was given 7 - 14 days to make a website where Ronnie could easily showcase all his work
The Problem: Ronnie had build a loyal following with his music using social mediaas his only marketing tool.Not only did he need another way to promote, it was becoming difficult for his fans to find his music. They were becoming tired of having to follow link after link.
Project Goals and Objectives: Increase awareness and help build and already impressive fanbase through SEO. And to also provide fans with a one stop shop where they can find his entire discography in one place.

Process and Insight

Ronnie's music is very straight forward and sonically simple. We decided that his website should reflect that, so I decided on a very simple design. This was also important because we wanted it to be easy for his fans to find the discography section.

Solution

Navigation: Only two pages to emphasize simplicity.
Welcome Section: Short bio of Ronnie and his label for new visitors and potential fans. As an artist, it is important to be transparent about yourself. Along with the music, a bio is a great way to share.
Discography Section: Display of his discography, designed so that with one click you can access each album. Instead of following links on social media, you find everything on one page.
Get in Touch/Contact Page: Important for fans to be able to reach out, but also for potential collaborators to be able to reach out in a professional manner.

Results

It's too soon to measure any financial gain. We feel like we made a mistake by not promoting the site enough in the early stages of the release. As a result, his numbers (album sales and streams) have not seen an increase. Ronnie is now working hard to promote his site on his social media platforms and I'll be tracking the results.
